DVD RESISTANCE WORKOUT?

Can anyone recommend a weight (resistance)training DVD? I would like to do a regular workout with 3 and 5 pound hand weights or stretchy bands to supplement my walking workouts. Thanks! Angie

Angie,

Have you tried slim in 6. I put a link up. I hear this is a good one. It comes with a resistance band. I myself have not done it but my friend did it and said you really feel the burn. I hope this helps.

I checked out the slim in 6 site and it looked intersting. I also thought about the 10 minute trainer series. I wanted to start in July, so I looked through the DVDs I already have to see what might serve for my afternoon workout. I tried one I had called "Walk Strong". It's a 30 minute Leslie Sansone workout using interval training with stretchy band. It really served the purpose for now; squats, bicep curls, tricep kickbacks and a 2 mile brisk walk! I also tried out this week one from Prevention magazine called "Walk Yourself Fit" which I had received free for subscribing to the magazine. It has a Body Shaping Workout. They use weights, but it was basically the same as with the band, so it will do for variety. I did not like the leader as well as I like Leslie (her name is Chris Freytag); she was a little too perky and didn't explain or prep for the transitions as well. I also tried a Leslie one called "Walk and Kick" which used some great kick boxing moves. The fourth one I previewed this week was "Fight Cellulite Fast" from Prevention. Same host. This came in the mail with two other DVDs for a 21 day free trial. It was a difficult workout and I really felt it. It had different levels of intensity and I followed the lower one generally, so there's room for improvement with the same disc. I think I will keep it. I will preview the other two next week. I get all three workouts for $14.95, a real deal. Stay tuned!

Turbo Jam is a good one; a kickboxing type workout that really does a great cardio combined with strength training & some of the workout dvds include weight resistance with bands.
